HI!
Well I feel like this week not too much stuff happened except for Tuesday and Saturday. The rest was just regular missionary stuffs. On Tuesday we had another MLC which was really good! It helped us learn how to plan better and more effectively because planning is super important! God's a planner, too. We also were taught a neat new way to teach repentance using nifty lil hand gestures for each step. Much fun. We've already used it about 3 times in lessons to help people understand that the steps to repentance are easy and the repentance is a positive thing. After MLC we had a sweet lesson with Phil in Bishop President Brother Call's home (he was called into the Stake Presidency but there hasn't been a new bishop called yet). It went super well! We taught him the Plan of Salvation (told ya God was a planner) and he loved it and had a wonderful time! Gosh I love it when people love the gospel.
Saturday we had breakfast at Crackerbarrel with Brother Wood who isn't a member of the church, who we are teaching. That was good. He isn't ready to join the church yet but might eventually in the future, but we are teaching him all about it, so hopefully he will change his mind soon! Then we went to the Church for a baptism for s person the Hermanas were teaching because they wanted me to play Piano for it. So I did. (Baptism is like, the only song I know, so that's the only one I played haha!) After that, whilst visiting somebody that we are teaching named Gavin, we ran into his mom, who is a Pastor, and let me tell you, she LOVES Jesus. It was so good to talk to her and she would do anything for God and whatever He told her to do, she would do it, so we asked her if she would be willing to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it... and she said no, she couldn't. That was disappointing. But we bore our testimonies to her that we knew that it was true, and asked her to read just one specific chapter in it, how we came to have a testimony of Jesus Christ, and she agreed to do that. so hopefully she will see that God can still reveal things to his children today. I really hope things go well with her! Sorry this email is so long. Anybody that actually read this far, y'all are troopers and I love you. Anyways, this transfer is already over and I will be spending another transfer as ZL in Shelbyville with Elder McHenry! Only 170 days left! Woo! Hope y'all are doing fantastic and have a great week!
Love, Elder Ray
