Hello!
Well, we are pretty busy this fine Memorial Day P day so hopefully this email will be half decent! This week went by really fast but it was great! On Thursday we went up to Carrolton and trained there in District council for another district in our zone and then we went on exchanges with the district leader there. I was with Elder Ashmead in Shelbyville! On our way back we stop at a cool part member family's house, the Woods, and just talked a lot with them. He lived in Gilbert AZ for a bit and so we talked a lot about that and the Gilbert Temple and we were able to share with him about the Spirit World or the "holding place" as he calls it and explain baptisms for the dead and show him scriptures about it. The spirit was very strong there and it was so cool to be able to share what we knew! He was so amazed that there were actually scriptures about the spirit world and about baptisms for the dead in the bible! It was a really good lesson.
On Saturday we went and did a service project clearing "burn piles" for some neighbors of some members. It was lit. Because we lit them all on fire. It was super hot outside too and we were sweating buckets by the time we were done but it was a lot of fun! We also helped them cover their garden with cardboard and wood chips so that was neat. It was a really good and busy week! Everything is going swell here in the blessed land of Shelbyville. We had a couple people come to church again yesterday like Phil (the cool piano gentleman), brother wood, and the stangers! Overall it was a good week and hopefully things will continue to go well so that Caitlin, Wayne, and Paul can all reach their baptisms soon! I'm excited for them! It's crazy that transfers are already in 2 weeks, I feel like I just got here. But I hope all of you are doing well! I love you all, enjoy your celebration of Patriotism.
Love, Elder Ray
