Hello everyobody!
This week was cool and rainy, and we decided to do a bunch of biking for 2 reasons: It is more effective at finding new people, and we are pretty much out of miles for the month... We had interviews with President and Sister Hughes on Tuesday over in Somerset and it was super awesome! I still love interviews! That night we exchanged and I went back to the metropolis of Russel Springs with Elder Mallory, who is also pretty cool! On Friday while walking down the street in the rain tracting, two police cars pulled into the house where we were talking to somebody. She was interested but we never even got her name because the Police came up and asked to talk to us. Apparently somebody else on the street called the police because "two strange guys wearing all black" were walking down a not so good part of town... They just checked our licenses and asked us about our missions and said we weren't doing anything illegal so we could just keep on knocking, but they just had to check us out because it was their job haha!
But anyshways, people in Russell springs just do not want to commit to anything or are just simply unable to come to church or meet with us. So this week we turned to the members for help finding people. We asked as many members as we could who they know that we could teach, and we didn't really get anyone yet, but there are a few that people are working with that said they might introduce us in the future. One of them was supposed to be at the Hill's for dinner last night, but he wasn't. Although we haven't received any solid non-members to teach yet, we were asked to go and stop by some members, and hopefully we got the branch thinking about people that they could ask! There is no way that this work could work without the help of members! I know that the Lord will bless each one of us as we try to invite people to come unto Christ, whether it's a non-member, member, active or not, we can always do better at being an example and simply inviting people to come unto Christ!
