Hey y'all!
This week was alright. We just did the same ol' missionary things. We went on exchange with the Henderson Elders, took some pictures in front of corn, taught some people about the Gospel, mowed a ditch again, got rejected at doors, taught some lessons, but the thing we did most was sweat. Yesterday was 104 degrees with 57% humidity. What a time. This Saturday we find out about transfers! It goes by so fast! The days seem long but the weeks seem short! We just finished listening to 8 lectures about Joseph Smith by Truman G. Madsen and it was amazing! Joseph Smith really was a great man and the chosen prophet of God to restore His church in this dispensation! What an amazing blessing it is to have the knowledge that God still speaks to us through His prophets even today.
Now if only we can get our investigators to understand that... We are at the point in teaching where all of our investigators pretty much know that the church is true, but don't really have the urgency to do anything about it. They hold on to their past sins and their past life just like Lot's wife and don't have the faith to believe that God has something even better in store for them. Like the parable of the Pearl of Great Price, we must be willing to give up everything for the kingdom of God. One of my favorite songs I've listened to on my mission says, "what good is my journey, if I miss out on eternity?" I know that we can live with our families throughout all eternity because of the perfect plan of our loving Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. Stay cool! I know I won't! I still love y'all and miss y'all!
