Hello everybody!
For those of you that don't know me, my name is Elder Stephen Ray, and I have been asked to speak about my experiences as a missionary this week. Saturday was my grandpa's funeral services back in Arizona, and while I was unable to attend, I am grateful to know that he is having a reunion with his family to ring in the new year. I am glad I was able to live with him and get to know him a little better for the past year and I am grateful for the knowledge of God's plan that he has for each of us to live with our families for eternity.
This week has been pretty cold but full of learning experiences. I was able to go on exchanges with Elder Agren and Elder Iglenski who are both super cool guys and they taught me a lot about how to contact people. We are teaching a few people with baptismal dates right now and 3 of them actually came to church and one of them even cried during fast and testimony meeting. Her name is Gerry and she and her two sons loved church and hope to come back. Elder Mills, while he was on exchange with Elder McHenry, found a boy about 17 years old named Ezavion and he was super excited to know what he had to do to live with God again. He was even willing to stand out in the cold for 50 minutes while we taught him the Gospel of Jesus Christ the next day.
Everything is fine here in the good ol' GKLM (Great Kentucky Louisville Mission), and I am doing fine! I don't have the flu unlike everybody else in Kentucky, but it is pretty cold here! I love you all and miss you! Hope y'all are doing fine!
Love,
Elder Stephen Ray
