And thus we see that the commandments of God must be fulfilled. And if it so be that the children of men keep the commandments of God he doth
nourish them, and strengthen them, and provide means whereby they can accomplish the thing which he has commanded them; 1 Nephi 17:3

Happy Birthday America!

July 8, 2019

Hello! Still in Kentucky.

Well, this week has been interesting! Getting over the soreness from the car crash and getting over the sickness from just being sick has been fun! This week we had a total of about 2 lessons, one with Melissa and one with another couple we found, Jason and Jaylee. Most of our other people are still sick, out of town, or busy, but I guess that's life. The lesson with Melissa went super well! She already knows the Book of Mormon is true but she has a tough situation at home so she isn't able to come to church yet, but we taught her the Plan  of Salvation and it was amazing! She knows that that is true also and that it just makes sense to her! It was really good. Also, it's been about 95 degrees with high humidity pretty much the whole week, and so we decided to go biking! Woo! We were just completely drenched from head to toe pretty much the whole time, but we were able to find 5 new people to teach! Yay!

On the 3rd and 4th of July we went over to one of the Part Member families in the ward, the Emerys, and we helped him cut up some tree branches from some huge trees that blew over in a storm for a couple of hours. That was super hot but it was nice to be out of our proselyting clothes for a bit! The Emerys are so awesome! Later that night on the 4th we had a ward party at a local mall in Simpsonville and it started at 6. Well we got there and the only people that were there were the Emerys and the Woods, another part member family! We just sat and talked with them for about an hour and ate hot dogs and hamburgers and then finally there were other people that showed up. We had to leave at 8 though because we had some things to prepare for the next day though. This week was definitely a week. Not very much happened. But thanks for reading this week! Tune in next week for another exciting episode! Same Bat-time! Same Bat-Channel! Love yous!

Love,
