I know it's gone by pretty fast, but I've officially already been on my mission for 1 whole year! Woo! It's been very tiring and difficult 97.6% of the time, but it is super fun! Plus I got to burn a shirt at the de Robles's. I love the people here! This week it snowed. The cold weather mixed with the sun going down at 4:30 can make missionary work kind of difficult. Thank goodness we didn't really have to tract that much this week! We did do a bit of biking, but most of this week was taken up by meetings, teaching appointments, dinner appointments, and studying.
This week we were able to teach a person we found last week named Kevin. Kevin has a bit of a speech impediment but he understands what we teach him and is able to explain it back to us! Many of the prophets found in the scriptures had weaknesses such as speech impediments, stutters, being weak in writing or speaking, or other things, so although he isn't a prophet he's in good company. He has committed to be baptized early next year, so hopefully everything works out with him!
The scriptures are an amazing blessing that we have today! From reading the Book of Mormon before the end of the year, I have already learned new things that have answered some questions for me! Specifically about the relationship of faith, works, and grace, and about the Spirit World and resurrection. If you really put in the effort to read the Book of Mormon you will find answers to things you didn't even know you needed. I know that the Book of Mormon is truly the Word of God and Russell M Nelson is God's prophet today. I hope all of us can come to know our savior a little bit better each day! I love you all and hope you are having a good ol time wherever you are! I love you miss you all!
