Hello.
This week was pretty alright! On Wednesday we exchanged with the bike elders in Etown. I was with Elder Higby! He's a really good missionary! Whilst on exchange with him we did something like the Mini MTC that we did a couple of weeks ago, but it was a mini version of that, hence the title. We showed the youth of the Brandenburg ward what good and bad missionary contacts look like and asked them what they thought we did well and what we could have done better. Then it was their turn. We put them in groups of 5 and had them contact some of their leaders! It was a lot of fun watching them try to give out a book of mormon to a drunk guy, a rude person, a couple, and some people at "Walmart." Some of them were actually really good at it! But that was a lot of fun. Then our ward mission leader and his wife, the Alikis, took us out to Taco Bell... which I definitely regretted the next day, having gone to the bathroom about 10 times, pretty much every hour on the hour. But alas, I survived to tell the tale! (Which you probably didn't want to hear about, but oh well.) We ended the exchange with helping an older lady pick up some sticks in her yard. It was a good time!
On Saturday we had a really weird lesson. We knocked on a someones door that Tawnya said might be interested in talking to us, and they let us in. It was 3 guys about 24ish years old. They were smoking, drinking, and I think one of them was about to give his buddy a homemade tattoo haha! But one of them just asked a bunch of random questions about Marijuana and why there are other religions, but his friend actually seemed really interested, so we are going back there on Wednesday. (Don't worry mom, I'll be fine. If the spirit tells us to go, I'll go.)
Patrick is doing super well! His baptism is planned for April 19th and I'm really looking forward to it! Gosh, I love him so much! If I wasn't a missionary we'd be super good friends! I mean, we still are, but it's different. Tawnya and Daniel are doing okay. A lot has been happening with them, going in and put of the emergency room and other hospitals, but they should be doing alright. It's nothing super bad. But all is well here in Bburg. Love you all!
