And thus we see that the commandments of God must be fulfilled. And if it so be that the children of men keep the commandments of God he doth

The cons of concussions

April 15, 2019

Oh Hello!

This week was pretty alright! Not all that much missionary work was able to be accomplished this week, but I will explain why. So Monday was P day, we didn't really do anything but play games and instruments and email all day, and then we had a dinner appointment and knocked on some doors afterwards! We tried by a guy named Mike who we had met earlier that week, but he didn't answer so as we were walking away I kept thinking, "we should totally try Chris. I'm gonna regret it if I don't try Chris." So we stopped, turned around and tried Chris and he was home! We talked to him for a bit and asked him to read and pray about the book of mormon and he said he would and wanted us to come back! It was really cool! Although we haven't been able to meet with him yet. Tuesday was a normal day, went to the Clothes Closet to give service and found a lady named faith who talked to us and said we could come back on Friday, but we weren't able to.

Wednesday was Zone Conference! That's always fun! Elder Lloyd gave a training about concussions and what the symptoms are and what to do if we had one. After Zone conference we started an exchange with the zone leader and I went to Etown with Elder Tapp. The next morning we were discussing when we wanted to exchange back and we get a call from Elder Hedelius and Elder jessee... apparently while riding their bikes to give service, Elder Jessee's front tire fell off and he flipped over. He got a concussion the day after we got a training about concussions. Pretty ironic Haha! So they went to a clinic and they told him not to do anything or think too hard for the next two days and he should be fine after that. So he literally spent the next two days just staring at the ground. It was funny. I was able to get caught up in my journal writing though, so it worked out.

Today we had district P Day and went to the lake and played volleyball, frisbee, exploding kittens, and had lunch. It was a lot of fun!

Yesterday we had one last lesson with Patrick before his baptism on Firday! It was so cool and the spirit was very strong! We finalized who was going to do what and we taught him more about temples and the priesthood! I'm so excited for his baptism! He also wants to serve a mission and possibly go to BYU Idaho also! That'd be so cool to go to the same school as him! It will be a while before that happens though but everything is going great with him! Tawnya and Daniel are moving this week so we are helping with that tomorrow and we were able to have a pretty good lesson with their kids on Saturday and taught them the Plan of Salvation! They will still be in the same town and we will be able to teach them still, but their lives have been really busy lately! But everything is going well here! I love you guys! Thanks to whoever actually read all of this! Until next week,

Love,
Elder Ray
