Hello Everybody!
I don't know if you all received my last email but I'm going to assume you did even though you most likely didn't. Oh well. Well this week was pretty awesome! It feels like I've been here for two months instead of just two weeks but I have grown so much spiritually! I gave my first blessing last week and then my companion, Elder Harris, gave one with me this week! I could feel that the words coming out of my mouth were not my own and it was the most amazing experience! I've been assigned to be the district leader during my stay at the MTC and it was so sad to see one of the Elders from my district have to go home due to his anxiety! This week for Thanksgiving, we had a turkey lunch and then we just had a sack lunch for dinner. We were able to participate in a service project that was exceedingly similar to Feed My Starving Children so that was cool, too. Elder Bednar also came to the MTC and spoke with us and just did a Q&A with us which was amazing! Elder Harris and I joined the Choir and honestly I think I might learn more from choir about the gospel than I do from my classes... For example, I've always heard that we are literally God's children but never understood what it really meant, but I learned in choir that through a birthing process, we became spirit children of our Heavenly Father and Mother and that we grew up in the Mansions of God before coming to this Earth and made it so much more personal and special to me! I know God knows each of us and loves us each perfectly because we lived with him before we came here and I just think everybody should know that. But anyways, TRCs started this week and I forgot what it stands for but it's pretty much investigators that come to the MTC to be taught and we have the opportunity to teach 2 investigators for 4 days a week! We just get thrown right into the work! I'm having a great time here and I love all of you and miss you so much!
